Born and raised in Newcastle, 17-year-old Catherine uprooted herself and moved for six years to Nashville, Tennessee, where she gained a deep knowledge of music history as well as touring extensively. A chance encounter at an Australian concert saw Elton John take Catherine under his wing back to America, to sign a deal with RCA Records. Catherine’s talent has also seen her tour, perform and record with some of music’s most respected names including Kasey Chambers, Keith Urban, Sir Elton John, and Dolly Parton.

Having received a diagnosis for breast cancer in 2015, Catherine is now several years cancer free, celebrating her remission with her album Boneshaker. Following its release, in 2016 she won her fourth Golden Guitar at the Country Music Awards of Australia, for Female Artist of the Year.
