Darren Wighton has been conducting our Welcome to Country since 2018. From Wiradjeri country, Darren is an established aboriginal artist and cultural performer, who loves to share all things of a cultural nature in his role at Xavier High School in Albury. Darren was formerly the pastor of the Albury Indigenous Church for a number of years, and a cultural mentor for the Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service. Within the Health Service, he also operated the Aboriginal ‘Men’s Shed’ program.
