Lauren Jackson (AO) is considered Australia’s greatest female basketballer. She led the Australian Institute of Sports team to the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) championship, winning two WNBA titles in the US and their Most Valuable Player Award in 2011. She also represented Australia in basketball at four Olympic Games, winning three silver medals, and is currently the Head of Women in Basketball at Basketball Australia.
Throughout her career, Lauren has battled anxiety and depression. As a public advocate for mental health, Lauren illuminates that struggle and success are not mutually exclusive, and helps us to understand a more nuanced and complex picture of their intersection.
