Amanda Tattersall is an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and is a well-recognised social change researcher, community organiser, and author. She co-founded GetUp.org.au, brought community organising to Australia through founding the Sydney Alliance, and for nine years has hosted the ChangeMakers Podcast which tells stories of people from around the world making the world a better place.

Amanda speaks and writes regularly about her experiences of living with bipolar, including for the ABC, in the Griffith Review, and on her ChangeMakers podcast. As one of the country’s foremost community-led researchers, she uses methods which intentionally engage with communities to research and impact our understanding of mental health.
