Dr. Diana Sands is the Director of the Bereaved by Suicide Centre for Intense Grief, and has also worked as an educator, researcher, and clinician. She is renowned internationally for her calls to attention for the need for services, education, and increased awareness of the stigmatized and problematic forms of bereavement following suicide.
In addition to penning a number of book chapters and academic journals, Diana is the author to Red Chocolate Elephants: For Children Bereaved by Suicide. Both a workbook and video text, the resource offers practical ways to sensitively engage with children about the difficult questions relating to death by suicide.
