Hailing from Albury and based in Melbourne, The Northern Folk are a unique collective of songsmiths and instrumentalists. Wielding a brand of tightly woven alt-folk magnified by massive arrangements and colourful indie-pop sensibilities, they have become mainstays of the Australian folk scene. Playing at almost every Winter Solstice since the event’s inception, the band are incredible advocates for our cause, and their music reflects this. With songs that delve into aspects of mental ill health in the course of love, heartbreak, grief, and conflict, their anthemic discography resontes deeply with Surviviors of Suicide and Friends and our community.
